Funeral Prices

There are around 14 funeral director branches in our Borough! Several of these are either associated with or are part of corporate firms whilst some are part of the country’s largest corporates. The big companies often leave the family name over the door so you never realise you are dealing with a large corporate company. Then there are small family run Independent funeral directors with either 1 or 2 branches that cover the area, and cover it well.
When arranging a funeral, the costs are divided into two parts – funeral directors’ fees and disbursements, which are third party costs which we pay on your behalf. You’ll see the costs of our local Crematoria here, but please call us to get a quote for other locations.
We operate a completely transparent pricing policy of one fixed price for our services, whether for a burial or cremation. Of course any third party costs or additional items selected by you are individually priced.

Burial Costs
The cost of burial varies greatly by borough and depends on whether the resident and the person purchasing the grave were residents of the borough. It can be quite complicated, so please ask us for advice.
Doctors’ Fees
A doctor must confirm the cause of death before cremation. The fee for this is £82. If the coroner is involved, this is not required.
